Tuna Relay and Colonial Relay COVID-19 Statement - Update 4/14

We continue to be optimistic that we will be able to run the Colonial and Tuna Relays this Fall. However, due to the current COVID-19 situation we understand teams are reluctant to plan and register for larger events at this point.

We have officially moved our Early Bird Discount Deadline for both races to May 15th (it previously was April 15th). Also, we will be able to offer a full refund for teams due to COVID-19 later than our normal Refund Policy.

We will hold off as long as we can to start making purchases for the 2020 Colonial and Tuna Relays and let teams know prior to when we need to start making purchases. At this point there will be an opportunity for a full refund; however, after this point, a full refund will not be available.

A refund of any processing fees from our registration company is unlikely at any point. If you are concerned about this and would prefer to send a check in for your registration, we can process that. The processing fees will be similar, but we will be able to refund those fully if your team decides to not run. E-mail us at info@malakseries.com for more information.

We will get firmer dates for the full refund option soon. The medals generally are the first big purchase required as they take 10-12 weeks in production. We will work with our medal company and get the latest date possible for our order. Once we determine that we will let teams know.

We will make sure to get in contact with every team registered to verify if a refund is desired at that time. The full refund date will be different for each race due to the Colonial Relay being 5 weeks before the Tuna Relay.

We want teams to be able to take advantage of the Early Bird Discount, but understand the concern teams have with such a big monetary commitment at this point.
