Securing Team Members

You might say 'This race sounds awesome, but can I really get 11 other people (or 5 for a 70 relay) to sign-up with me?' The answer is YES. In fact, we've successfully used the approach below more times than we can count.

  • Find at least 3 - 4 runners to commit to the relay quest

  • Share with them that you really want them on your team, but they must agree to ask at least 2 - 3 other runners to join in too

  • Clearly not everyone will say yes, but the power of networking really does work

  • Then each new runner repeats this process until you have your team

One of the greatest things about this approach is that your team will be made up of a few individuals who you know, but also likely some new friends that will soon become old friends over the course of the relay experience.

Finding Additional Runners

There are also numerous resources where you can look to find a few runners to fill out your team.  Below are some facebook pages in areas near the race where you can post to see if anyone is interested in joining your team (or if there is a team you can join).  We would like this list to grow, so if you know of any other helpful sites please e-mail them to us and we will add them to the list.
