Tuna Relay and Colonial Relay COVID-19 Update

We hope everybody is continuing to do well through the COVID-19 situation. We are looking forward to the races in the Fall and a bit more normalcy and we hope to see a lot of teams out at the Colonial and Tuna Relays.

We have the Early Bird Discount Deadline coming up this Friday May 15th and we want teams to be able to take advantage of this pricing. As we mentioned in our a previous post we will be extending the full refund option for teams for the Fall Races - new dates are below:

  • Colonial Relay - July 1, 2020

  • Tuna Relay - August 1, 2020

As we get to these dates, we may be able to move them later depending on how everything plays out. We will see how the summer goes with COVID-19 and will let team captains know at that time.

A refund of any processing fees from our registration company is unlikely at any point. If you are concerned about this and would prefer to send a check in for your registration, we can process that. The processing fees will be similar, but we will be able to refund those fully if your team decides to not run. E-mail us at info@malakseries.com for more information.

The running industry at large is putting together guidelines and best practices for races going forward. We will be actively engaged in following the progress and taking advantage of these as we plan for the races this Fall. We will have much more information for teams as we get closer to the races. Teams that are planning to participate should start looking into a plan for the van. We will have guidelines for teams and their vans, but it will be the team that has to make sure these are implemented.

We will get in contact with every team captain for registered teams to verify if a refund is desired before the specified dates.
